Immigrated in 1734 aboard the ship called “Sally” with 2 sons to Manchester Twp, York Co, Pa. to escape the French Huegnot Persecution.  Matthias owned land in Manchester Twp from 1734-1748.  He helped to lay out the road to Philadelphia in 1748.  He and 16 other Lamberts traveled to Philadelphia and took the Oath of Allegiance on April 14, 1748 and became British subjects.  He received a land warrant from the Proprietors of Pennsylvania in 1750.

Conrad Becker was the Overseer of the Poor, Dover Twp in 1758.  Overseer of the Poor
 Manchester Co. 1733.  Pvt in the 2nd class, 7th (Capt. Yost Harbaugh’s ) co.., 2nd Battl. York Co. Militia according to a return dated 4/17/1778.  In1783 census, he is ascribed 225 acres of land, 3 horse, 4 cattle, 8 sheep, 1 still, 1 house, 1 barn and 12 inhabitants.
